Who we are
Clearline Insurance Services Ltd is the controller of personal information collected through this website.
What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry, request a callback or notify a claim, we collect the details you provide. We use them to respond to you, arrange insurance quotes and handle claims. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. For claims, it is the performance of your insurance contract.
We will not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We share information with insurers, underwriting agents and our principal, as needed to arrange cover or handle a claim. We also use IT and email providers, who process data on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a policy are kept for up to 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as regulation requires, usually at least six years after the relationship ends.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or erase your information, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
